Capital gain on debenture

Hello , please help me out with following.

Mr.X sold his debentures on 31-12-2010 for Rs.45,000/- which were purchased in Sept.2008 for Rs.55000/-

What will be the CApital GAin i.e. short-term or long-term?? How will it be indexed?
