what is the date of acquisition for bonus share received. is it date of purchase of original share or allotment date of bonus issue?

bonus share increases the number of quatity of shares and decreases the price of share if hold such shares more than 12 month than its arise LTCG and exmpt u/s 10(38) otherwise taxable for STCG @ 15%. 10(38) exemption is available only for listed shares if not listed it taxable 20% with indexation benifit.

holding period will be reckoned from the date of declaration of bonus shares
