Date of Sale of Flat : 15.03.2016.
Whether Indexation benefit will get on the same ?
While calculating period of 3 years, Which date is relevant date of Purchase or Date of Possession ?

If agreement for purchase of flat is registered on 01.01.2012 then the relevant date would be the agreement date and not the possession date
you can claim benifit of indexation being a trf of long term capital asset
