explain difference between cApital gain on sale of urban and rural land

unless it is agricultural land there's no difference between urban and rural land

No differences for land situated in rural or urban area unless it is used for agricultural purpose.

* capital gains on transfer of rural agriculture land is not taxable .
* capital gains on transfer of urban agriculture is fully taxable , but you can take exemption under sec 54B by purchasing agriculture land ( rural or urban ) within 2 years from date of transfer .
* if land is not related to agriculture then capital gains on transfer of such land is fully taxable .
