Can you just clarify under which establshment does NSDL belong i.e. under what act is NSDL got registered?
What form of organisation is it?

Hi Karthika,
Here is what you need to know when looking at tax angle : -
'NSDL' Word is defined under The Depositories Act 1996, The Companies Act 1956, The Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956, The Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 and the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Depositories and Participants) Regulations, 1996 shall have the same meaning respectively assigned to them under the aforesaid Acts and Regulations.
