Hi Ayush, That was a very tricky question.

Well to answer the same, there is a saying in TELUGU.

"Aaadaani Vayasu, Magaadi Salary adagavaddu" !!!!. If it is translated in English it is,

You should never ask Age of a Girl/ Women, and Salary of a Boy/ Man !!!

Actually even i have faced same problem. bcoz i'm very straight. which i suppose is the real issue we want to deal even so in your case.

ANSWER:

WHO ASK YOU THIS QUESTION?

PEERS: THEN, "Well, i'm being paid low". never tell them truth or any figure. if they insist on figure. then give some words like ok. ok.(theek thak). more insistance, then, give some figure which brings them in your favour.
