The best way ICAI can stop this, is removing CPT & re-introducing PE-1 & raising the eligibility admission such as age limit or graduation, so automaticaaly these so called CA colleges will be shut down & the students who are really interested in this course will only join.

Kids here don't even know what does a CA has to do & just enter the course after passing the 10th class.

The charishma of the profeesion is getting darker & the institue is announcing results with very high percentage.Gone are the days, when CA qualified is respected because every Tom Dick & Harry is opting the course.

These Coaching centres may help passing the students by torturing in the name of studies, but proffesional attitude & respect towards the profession cannot be taught by anyone

Well, as far as i remember, a person who served as president thanked these institutes in a seminar at Vijayawada, that just shows how deep this thing runs...

ICAI dont have any control over these coaching classes. How can they? These ppl are not bound by the regulations of ICAI. Even if ICAI tries something to stop these menaces, it could be set aside by filing a writ petition. At the best ICAI can do is to provide better coaching at their chapters at a reasonable price. CA students are the major source of money for many ppl. Just go through the text books we refer. How high they are priced? Some where near Rs 1000 per book?? And how bad they are in printing quality and binding quality???. We can buy books of international authors in other discipline at a cheaper price than this and they are world class as far the paper, bindng and printing quality is concerned.
