CA. in practice is permitted generally to be a 'Director Simplicitor' in a company.
.
Provided he is not a Managing Director or Wholetime Director and is required only in the Board Meetings of the company and not paid any remuneration except for attending such meetings.
.
Director Simplicitor shall be construed as ordinary/non-executive Director.

I know this fact but my question is that can CA do other functions of Director e.g. signing authority, Executive etc.. Considering the fact that he doesn't get anything in return for his service.
