Can an LLP be a shareholder of a company.
In my view, as LLP is a limited liability firm, having a distinct identity and therefore should be entitled to hold shares.

Yes it can as LLP has perpectual sucession and distinct existance and is an artificial body which has the featured of a Ltd Company.
