Can i switch firms after joining for articleship?

Hello everyone.I am about to commence my articleship very soon. I want to have clarification on one thing. Suppose if I get selected for articleship in a firm and after joining in the firm, I have better prospects to work for another firm.Can I switch the firms by giving such a plea??
