Hi,
I forgot to pay the advance by march 15 deadline , can I pay the advance tax for FY2009-2010 by 31st march 2010 ?
Please advise.

Yes u can..... as per proviso to SEc.211(1), which read as follows-:
"Provided that any amount paid by way of advance tax on or before the 31st day of March shall also be treated as advance tax paid during the financial year ending on that day for all the purposes of this Act."

Advance TAx due date extended 31st march and Service Tax also extened 31st march it is published in THE HINDU 25.03.2010

Yes , u can and if further delay (i.e after 31st march) interest will be applicable @ 1% pm
