hello
I am suresh Patel from Ahmadabad. I completed my m.com with 59% in 2013 from Gujarat university.
My age is 31 year. I want become a CA. Can i join the course? I have a job in private tuition classes for teaching accounts and tax.I have experience about 5 years in this sector but i am not satisfied from this. In fact i don't like politics policy in education field so i want to change my profession and want to choose CA course.
so i want to know from your side that my decision is right or wrong. Give me fair and true advise to help me take right decision.

yes you can join but you will have to work hard. since you have been teaching accounts& tax, these two subjects may not be difficult for you. it is a bit late for you but for education i personally

You can directly take admission in CA Inter/IPC as you meet the minimum aggregate criteria of 55% marks via graduate/post graduation route.

Age should not bind you to excel in life. Yes, there will be people around you who will doubt you and will raise constant questions on your decision but when you know where you stand and do what you need to do to up your game, there is only progression.

Remember its 31 and not 61. If you slog out for the next 4 years, the next 35 years of your life will be completely different, both professionally and personally.

Articled training is the most important aspect of this course which prepares the student for the road ahead. Initially you may not enjoy it but as you will grow you will realize its importance.

Since you are already teaching, you will have to take permission from ICAI by submitting Form 112 to continue it alongside your training but your teaching hours should not clash with your training hours. You will need to obtain a certificate from your Principal/Article CA. certifying the same. ICAI allows teaching up to 9 hours a week.

If situation allows you, you may either stop it for sometime or reduce it to concentrate more on preparing yourself.

During this journey, two most important aspects will be time management and discipline. If you can manage the study time with training/working hours and maintain the daily discipline, results will be there to see.

So, take an informed decision keeping in mind what it holds for you in the future. Don’t worry about the naysayers. It’s about you and your vision.

It's useless correspondence course with highly impartial marking. Don't waste your time and infact life here and do LLB which is far better than ca.

From your text we can draw two ways . 1) u goal is to becomee ca only than proceed . Its just like fasting for treasure .once u get it done the life will be as u dream .

2) u told u r not interested in teaching because of politics so bu giving up that profession u can try for competative exams to get govt jobs. The selection of one among two depends on your intention or determinaton.

become a tax return preparer. visit www.trpscheme.com it is a practical aproach. the next batch will come up soon. it is an entrance based exam and it gives you license to file tax returns and do allied work as well. I feel that TRP scheme is best suited for you, it is a venture of the Govt of India and NIIT. It is really a good way to make income and associate with the Income Tax department in a legitimate way.

Yes, Definitely u can pursue this course. Nothing is too late untill unless ur mind directs u. As u r a teacher it is plus point but u have to consider every prons and cons. I will suggest u to have a look at CMA (USA) course also.

CA these two words can change ur life around only if you achieve it .I strongly believe that anyone joining CA has really taken a right decision though there are personal exceptions , But it teaches a lot at every point we can learn something interesting regarding our life.If there are some incompatibilities,Insecurities in ur career CA will heal everything.All you have to do is join it with all ur passion dedication and determination , even though the journey may be of hurdles the destination will be sweet and contentful.
