Can ca with cop and without firm take an article ?

I am a Chartered Accountant ,who passed out in 1998.I was in industry ,but came to pratice in August 2013 and got my COP on 20th June 2013.I am not yet started my own on firm or not a partner in a chartered accountant firm.

I wan t to know,whether i can take an article now ?Friends plz help

Yes, You are eligible to take one article in the first year of practice. Practice is the condition for taking article and not firm. Even I took one article before registering my firm.
