Can CA be a director in a company??... Kindly give the details of the necessary notification/circular in this regard.

yes CA can be a director in a Company. you can reffer to the Chartered Accountants Regulations Act.

A DIRECTOR CAN BE OF THREE TYPES:
1. MANAGING DIRECTOR
2. WHOLE TIME DIRECTOR
3. NON EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
FIRST TWO ARE DESCRIBED AS OFFICER AND EMPLOYEE OF THE COMPANY U/S 2(9)
THEREFORE DISQUALIFIED TO BE AUDITOR U/S 226(3)(b).
BUT A NON EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR CAN BE A AUDITOR ALSO.
