Can builder deny GST invoice for charging maintenance on interior works?

I have a flat in a newly built apartment complex. Builder charges some maintenance+GST @ 18% to the flat owners for carrying out interior works. But the builder is refusing to provide a GST invoice for the same. Can this be legally challenged?

The builder is legally obligated to provide a GST invoice for any GST charged on the services provided to you.

If the builder is refusing to provide a GST invoice, you can raise a complaint with the Goods and Services Tax (GST) department. You can file a complaint with the GST authorities through the GST portal or by visiting the GST office in person. You can provide the details of the transaction, including the amount charged, the nature of the service provided, and the refusal to provide a GST invoice.
