Can any one clarify about "Interest paid on housing loan for the financial year 16-17" and its limits

Whether the house is self occupied or letout?

Interest is upto 200000/- if self occupied and actual payment if it is letout.

Principal is upto a maximum of 150000..

And you may avail 80EE subject to conditions.

yes 2L if self occupied and unlimited in letout.

Dear Srini ,

U can claim upto 2 lac rupees for housing loan interest on self occupied house and there in no limit on let out of house
