Tell me whether a partner in CA Firm can do his self practice simultaneously. whether any seperate criteria to be followed in applying for C.O.P. for the above case. and in what time C.O.P. will be issued after application.

hi..yes a partner in CA Firm can do his self practice simultaneously. But the ceiling is 'specified number' for such person in the partnership firm & in his individual capacity taken together. refer sec. 224(1B)...
Sory i m nt aware about obtaining C.O.P. is require or not...

COP is always issued in the name of an Individual so no separate COP is required.

Hi, Date of application for COP is the treated as date on which you hold COP. For this you will get intimation letter from Institute with in 2 weeks time. You will get COP with in 3-4 months time to your registed address.
