can a dealer under GST get seperate new registeration without cancelling the old registration

Can a registered dealer under GST apply and get registered for a new firm? As he want to promote a new brand in the market under the new firm.

Yes, A registered person under GST can get a Seperate Registration for Seperate Business.

If a person carries two different business within same state, he has the option of getting either a single GST registration and show other place as additional place of business, or get seperate registration for different businesses. Seperate returns will have to be filed in case a person opts to have two GST numbers for 2 Business.

However the registered person shall not be eligible to opt for the Composition scheme unless all Businesses registered under same PAN opts for Composition.
