Hi,
Can a COP holder take a job offer in a company without relinquishing the COP status?
What are the implications if the COP status is maintained?

Agreed . It is a misconduct. However, it is not compulsory to surrender the COP to institute, you can keep your COP with you and just intimate to the ICAI about taking up your job.
In that case your COP will be held as Part Time COP but then you are not allowed to do attestation and certification.

I don't agree with mr. Prateek, A full time COP holder can take assignment of a company as a consultant charge fees as professional fees. He can become a director in a company . Public Opinion is required...
