Hello,i want to know about selection criteria in campus? does no. of attempts matter? whether there is any preference given to double degrees ie.CA & CS? pls share any real experience..

In campus placement first of all the candiadate have to fill the form and later on the basis of the form filled the companies select the candidate for the GD PI etc. In selecting the candidate different comapnies gives attention to different criteria as required by them. And of course no of attempt playes some role in the process.

No of attempts plays role only in the first job but later in life only experience and your hard work matters.

Companies use different type of criterias for filtering the candidates. Some companies like Big 4 and other bulge bracket may have 7-8 rounds for selection.preference is always given to candidates having dual professional qualifications and have something different from other candidates.No of attempts do matter in first job as a filtering criteria by some companies but one should always thing of long run and took the job which suits them best taking a long term perspective in mind and thinking less about monetory benefits.

Depends on companies norms some gives time period after one attempts some use small periods so you try your best and your performance and hard work definitely works but the criteria will be the same of companies they have details of their interviewees.

durga dont worry you will definetly be screened in the interview as i have seen students with even 10 attempts getting call.although number of attempts affect the companies that call you.. i have 2 suggestions for anyone going for campus placements 1.Give some mock interviews before the placements.You can do this registering in any job portal. 2 Go to the placement venue even if you dont have an interview scheduled as companies some times call walkins if they have time hope this helps
