First this section will be applicable if 90% of the advance tax is not paid by an assee. The interest should be calculated at 1% for every month of late filing that is from august for indiuvals & november for companies.
For example : Total tax due is 10000 & the advance tax paid is 0 then he is filling at the month of nov then for an indiuval int u/s 234 B is Rs.300(10000*1%*3)

its simple.
Why do you want in excel shhet
its penalty @ 1 % before 31st March & after March.
just remember to take the months directly dont count in days
