There is no age factor as such.
Even i have friends who are attempting PCC along with their parents.
This CA course has such a charm that it won't have any age factor.
A person decided to do CA at the age of 56. His determination was strong at this age also and he took admission for the course. Inspite of opposition from his colleagues (where he was working), family members, friends, etc, he joined the course. He cleared his PE-II exam and also did articleship that too sincerely (not dummy) and also cleared the Final Exams. He completed CA at the age of 60 years. He is a co-author to a book on MAFA for CA Final. His name is Mr. S. D. Bala. The book is MAFA by Pattabhi Ram and S. D. Bala, Snow White Publications
It is neither age nor attempts which matter for CA but only determination and the WILL TO SUCCEED.......If u look into the history of certain successful CAs u can see many have cleared after n no. of attempts but it their will to succeed propelled the to achieve the pinnacle of glory in spite of keeping so much attempts

There is no age factor, coz nothing is impossible in life. Just we have to think positive.
But guys, if a senior citizen go for persuing CA, & he completes it,then he might not get a time to enjoy that life.....Lol

well i think age is not at all a factor to study CA.. only thing is we have to work a bit more if we don't know the subject coz we some what loose the same charm once we were in teen age :).

Definitely age is not a factor u should have a burning desire to achieve something Take my case I am 40 Years old and i ma going to appear for CA (Final) in Nov 2009 even though I have cleared C.A(Inter) in Nov 2008.As my Previous Boss use to say you should have a fire in your belly then you will definitely go out and achieve something extraordinary

Pl tell me is there any use of clearing CA after many attempts, say 4-5 attempts. Do such people have any value in job market?

No. of attempts doesnt matter.... if d person has belief in himself & his abilities...
success is not dependent on accademics.. alone...
dose getting more no. of attempts also get gud package if dey could show der worth in work or even in interviews....

YES...AGE IS NOT A FACTOR TO PASS CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT EXAMINATION AND BECOME A CA....
BUT JUST KEEP IN MIND THE OPPORTUNITIES.....IF UR WILLING TO GO FOR PRACTISE..WELL AND GOOD...
BUT FOR EMPLOYMENT... PEOPLE DONT PREFER A 40 YRS OLD NEWLY QULAIFIED CA TO BE THEIR FINANCE MANAGER.
I TOO STRUGGLED A BIT AND I BECAME CA AFTER 7 YRS OF COMPLETING MY DEGREE....NOW AM 29 PASSED WHEN I WAS 28 YRS OLD.....
GOOD LUCK...

I can just say that .....Knowledge comes not by age, but by experience....so it's good to know that we have Veterans along with us appearing for examinations. It's like a" Samaraweera" of Sri Lankan cricket team playing on the same pitch with "Sanath Jayasuria"...-:) . We should duly respect their efforts to accept their challange of getting this most respected degree - "CA" before their name....even at an age where most of their collegues perfer Morning Walks...Joining a club or a Library etc...Hats off to such seniors.:)
