Rank is given to the student who cleared both group in one sitting . It means if a student couldnot clear in ist attempt both group . then in subsequent attempt he can be eligible for rank if he secured more than 55% marks in both group in one sitting..
For e.g if a student not clear both group in Nov 13 then a student is eligible for rank in May 14 , provided a student will have to appear both group all subject and pass with more than 55% marks in the same exam.
Also rank will be given as per cuttoff rate of marks to 50 all india rankers.
So, All the best ..:-)

Attempt is not Criteria for getting rank in CA Final. Also Rank Cannot be given as per past performance. It is totally depend on the student present performance in the exam..
To Get rank in CA Final Exam is Very Big Achivement because if student have ability to handle pressure of Both group as well as prepared for the exam twisters with 85 to 90% accuracy in writing papers then only he can be able to get rank.
Aiming for Rank at CA final have become wish for at least passing in CA final Exam these days. as per recent CA final Results .
So Don,t keep any myth about rank , Just Do your Hard Wok for the CA Final and you will get all your answers automatically. Wishing you all the best.. :-)
