After passing inter you have to register for final. Did you register for final at that time?

After registration for final if you had appeared for even one attempt in final old course than you don't need to do anything.

Just fill up the form and appear for the exam.

If not than you have to register for final, obtaining eligibility certificate etc. and after that you can appear for your finals.

I heard that MM number has been changed to some other format.Is that so?

If you had appeared twice than you should be able to appear directly for exams in May. But you will need your past examination details like roll no. and month and year of appearance when you fill the form.

Yes, the old registration number has changed from 8 digits to 10 digits for e.g. If it was BBXXXXXX than it has changed to WROXXXXXXX.

You can fill the form with your old registration number but to be on safe side I would advise that you write to your regional office and obtain your new registration number. It has already been alloted to all students including you. You just have to obtain it.

ICAI has started an e-grievance facility. You write to BOS using that facility and obtain your new registration number as well as inquire that you had appeared twice in 2001/2002 and whether you can directly fill up the form for May 2010. (This is just to obtain a written communication from ICAI as proof. Maintain a print out of their reply as proof with you). The link is attached herewith.

I am from Gujarat and even I had cleared my inter in 2001 and thereafter could not clear my finals due to some reason but now I want to clear it. So I had appeared in Nov 09 just on trial basis to get acquainted and now i will be appearing for 2nd group in May 2010 with serious preparation.

Hema, lots of things have changed in the CA course including the syllabus which has changed twice after 2001. But the basic premise is the same. Am sure both of us will be able to use the prefix "CA" in front of our names withing a year. So lets get going.

I've joined CA in 1992 and completed articleship in 1995, but no any group has cleared.

I am having simply old DD number,

Pls let me know, can I do the CA. can my articleship will consider,
