Sir,
I have registered for ICWA & at the same time passed CPT...i am an average student...so should i go for ICWA single this December or should i study hard & opt for both groups CA IPCC....please suggest me....i m very nervous as i cant decide which is right

Let's look at the both alternative.
IPCC - Both the Groups and articleship. If you belong to an average middle or less than that it is difficult to manage your family if you have the resp of family. Here again it depends upon ur age. If you are of more than 23 or 24 years you can not depend on ur parents for ur basic needs.
ICWAI - Having registered for CWA if you can put a great effort with 3 years you can complete the course. Once you complete ur CWA you should not compare it with CA, but as years goes on even for CWA's there is a great scope.
NO, one will disagree the scope of CA but the only question is "ARTICLESHIP"
All points above are based on my experience.

IPCC Both or Single Group-------------Market value of CA is much better than CWA...............CA has power to stamp and submit the sale tax or income tax, final statements etc.
If u r actual working hard with smartness..........I suggested 1st clear IPCC and then go for CWA at the time of Articleship.

U R AVERAGE STUDENT. THEN FIRST GO FOR IPCE BOTH GROUPS. AFTER CLEARING IPCE U WILL GET EXEMPTION FOR ICWA INTER PAPERS.
THEN FIND A CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT WHO WILL GIVE U ARTICLESHIP FOR BOTH CA +ICWA.
AFTER COMPLITION OF ARTICLESHIP FIRST CLEAR YOUR ICWA FINAL. AND U HAVE WHOLE LIFE TO CLEAR CA FINAL. BCOZ CA FINAL RESULT IS WORSE THAN ICWA FINAL. U R GRADUATE, AFTER 3 YEARS YOU 100% NEED SMART PAY BCOZ U WILL HAVE RESPONSIBILITIES. WHICH WILL BE FULLFILLED BY ICWA DEGREE AND THEN FOR BETTER PROSPECTS U TRY OUT YOURSELF FOR CA FINAL.

Dear Friend,
There is no exemption if you complete IPCC in CWA nor if you complete CWA no exemption in IPCC.

SORRY MY BAD. THERE IS NO EXEMPTION FOR IPCE STUDENTS. BCOZ THERE ARE HELL CONFLICTS BETWEEN CWA AND CA INSTITUTES. but there is exemption for cs professional passed candidate.
download prospectus of icwa inter. u will get lot better idea.
Only a pass in the final examination of ICSI, has the following subjects exemption. No exemption is available for any other qualification under Revised Syllabus 2008.

cs + cwa and after that ca, u can do this way. sorry for previous misguidance. but there is a big problem. there should be seperate article experiences for ca,cs and cwa. and cs syllabus includes lots of theory preparation, latest knowledge of cs taxation paper( better than ca but they ask theory most of the time so u can escape.), and your law concepts should be very much clear.
cs articleship = after passing cs professional final 1.5 years
ca articleship = befor passing ca final 2.5years
cwa articleship = after/before passing icwa final 3 years
dont take me wrong but i am giving all advices considering u r average student. first try to complete cs or cwa. so that u can command more stipend at the time of your ca articleship. and u wont complaint of stipend for your whole articleship period like 90% of the ca students do. after cs or cwa u can even try for big 4 articleship.

no exemption for any kind of articleship for any course.
because icwa concentrate on factory cost most of the time and manufacturing costing, ca concentrate on return filing and financing, and cs concentrate on legal matters of company. so even in the future do not accept any articleship exemption. but u can do this all by doing some smart tactics. i cant disclose all on caclubindia. but at the end if u want cs+ca+cwa u have to undergo articleship training seperately for each of them.
