Hi.. I need help in taxation, both direct and indirect for CA Final..Which books should I study from? Is it possible to prepare both the subjects if I do them on my own? I happen to be weak in tax.. I have heard Vinod Guta Sir's book is very good fr DT?

I HAVE RECENTLY TAKEN MY DIRECT TAX CLASSES FROM VONOD GUPTA SIR. I THINK HIS MODULES ARE SELF SUFFICIENT. AS HE GIVES ANALYSIS OF EVERY SECTION ALONG WITH RELATED CASE STUDIES. AND THIS YEAR HE HAS MADE THE SUMMARY MODULE HIMSELF.WHICH IS QUITE GOOD AND SUFFICIENT FOR THE LAST TIME REVISION.AS HE HAS COVERED ALL THE CASE STUDIES AND AMENDMENTS IN BRIEF IN IT TOO. AND FOR INDIRECT TAXATION PADUKA IS SUFFICIENT.

TN manoharan best for DT but simultaneously prepare your notes otherwise it will become very difficult to revise during exams.
For IDT you can buy either Bangar or Padhukas.

dt - tn manorahan best idt- bangar or k vaitheeswaran . vg gupta is bit technical but very good tnm is easy and sufficient same with bangar bit technical n vaitheeswaran easy you will defenately get interest while studying from tnm n k vaitheeswaran my experience i have all 4 books n i m doing selfstudy
