Ca final sfm self study

Can i do SFM self study with J.B.Gupta sir reference book and dvd? Did anyone of you listened his classes from dvd? Please help me. I want to know how his classes will be,before buying them.

in dvd sir is only reading the book,if u want to do self study better to go with the book and do other questions from pm or padhuka....

I had done with his dvd. Please use that and understand concepts then solve questions from practise manual

Is there any other good reference book which you have read other than J.B.gupta? Can I understand concepts well with J.BGupta book?

U can refer Sanjay Saraf sir's handwritten notes which wil really help u to crack the sfm easily... It is best notes as me too refering it nd taking coaching frim him too, but by only refering his notes also will help a lot to self study students..

I won't suggest for self study. you should take classes from sanjay saraf. if its not possible for you to attend classes then refer his notes

Yup I m currently doing it from his DVD only and using it as a base & for further reference PM.

If u r OK at maths you can go for it.

and ya its not that he only reads the books in dvd many a times in complicated formulas and concepts he elaborates on his own.

SD Bala 's book is best for self study as each concept is supported by illustration . after each chapter seperate section on "Revision Problems (solved)" is given for practice. Maximum problems are solved step wise and proper working notes. so even if we are preparing our notes, just note down steps given to solve particular type of problem and solve its revision problems. for further practice u can solve RTP problems by following its steps. You can also note certain key points which u can find in solved problems (which are to be noted seperately so that it can be referred at time of revision. At no cost ICAI inputs to be left. Coverage of icai inputs is imp. I am in process of drafting Strategy /Approach towards SFM paper and will be posting on CA Club india shortly in few days. Strategy will cover right from Chapter Index to Preparation of notes , Revision, Selfstudy,etc.As SFM is very crucial paper and also scoring if studies towards this subject is done in systematic manner (including revision). Concepts and Practice is a Key to success in this Paper. If anybody has any suggestions or questions or inputs , please feel free to share here as it will be grear motivation for all of us . For Clearing CA course needs 1) Determination 2) Dedication ,3) Devotion and most important Faith in God and belief in one's own capability.
