Initial registration for Final Course is valid for 5 years. So, your registration is valid till 27.03.2014.
.
ICAI says that, “Students are required to ensure before applying for admission to Final examination that they have valid registration.”
.
So before filing up the exam forms, your reg. is within the validity period. The same can be verified at the time of creating login ID for exam form. If your name gets validated by the system, then I think there shall be no issue.

Revalidation should be made who had registered for the final course on or before 31/8/2008.

Hi Rahul Sharma,,To be on the safer side, u should revalidate ur registration b4 the exams. Of course u wont face any problem in registering for the exams..But at the time of exams, u wont be having an active registration and thats too risky according to me..What if ur results are withheld..
P.S. : If u had a valid registration at the time of exams, then there wont be any problem. My cousin sister's registration expired before the results were announced but it was valid at the time of exams-and she didnt face any problem. But ur case is different..Before concluding that revalidation isnt necessary, pls call up the institute & find out..Or post this query on e-sahaayata.

Nothing will happend even if your registration expires ICAI never stops you from appearing in exams or withholds your result, you can always register your self as provisional student if your name doest not apppear in the database while filling the online form ,, beleive me no isues at all.. I hade the same issue but i opted for provissional student .
Thanks

Hi Amit, here we are talking whether to re-register or not. If u register again(which is a very simple procedure), u arent going to face any problem. But is it necessary or not to re-register-thats the question.
At the time of filling reg form, Rahul Sharma's name will be in the database since his registration does not expire at that time..So no question of provisional registration..Even otherwise I dont see what prov registration has got to do in this case..Cud u pls clarify?
I agree that there wont be any problem at the time of registering for exams. But by the time the admit card is to be issued, he will not be having a valid registration..Dont u think that may be a problem? Was ur personal experience exactly similar to Rahul Sharma's..What was the revalidation scheme then-was it based on a specified time limit as of now or based on the no of attempts?

Thanks to all members for their valuable suggestions
as u said it is true that while i fill online exam for my name appears in database when i fill my nro no and dob, it proves that i have a valid reg as on today, but it seems that it will xpire on 27/03/2014, admit cards is to be issued after this date and also exams to be held in may 14.
I think I shall be required to apply for revalidation.
In online exam form there is also a column for yes/no for revalidation on which i tick no, there may be not any problem ?????
Thanks again for members support

AGAING REPATING Nothing will happen even if at the time of issuing admit card your registration is not valid , it is only at the time of applying the exams it is checked again even if it has expired while applying for final exams or your name does not appear in the DATABASE for some reason you can ALWAYS proceed to appear as PROVISIONAL STUDENT ... my case was very different I didnt knew whether my registration is valid or not also my traning completion certificate was not submitted by my CA even after 2 years of traning completion then also I appeared in final exam as provisional student , dont worry guys ICAI has very professional people to handle situations and they always think practical eg Why student should be barred if certain adminstartive procedures are delayed etc. or some formalities not competed by principal.... Rereistration is required and process can be very well completed simultaneously or after exams...
In my time registration was valid for 10 years.
Hope I am clear ...
Thanks & regards
Amit
