Swetha,
It is an administrative issue, which is of concern to many students who are yet to receive the letter of registration from ICAI. This is a problem, which you need to address by going to the concerned branch or chapter and raise it with appropriate authorities. There have been several complaints that ICAI does not respond to mails. Therefore, in your best interest I urge you to contact the local branch or chapter and pursue the issue more vigorously. If need be, raise the issue with the chairperson or designated Officer at the branch or chapter level.
I can understand the lackluster approach from some of the administrative staff. At the meantime, I also suggest you to kindly do not derail your study pattern and lose focus, keep pursuing your case before concerned authorities and ensure you are studies is not getting affected. Things will surely even out, have patience.
Wish you Good luck.
Regards
Sathish

Swetha,
That is the situation all across India. My point is, if you need to get a thing done you need to be behind these people for your own good. It is sometimes painful and frustrating but you need to persevere.

SAME STORY
I registered on 27/02/2012. Still waiting for final registration letter. Sometimes posted in E-Sahayata also and received responses too with a delay of 30 to 45 days.
Everytime they said they will send but they didn't till today.
Worst treatment by ICAI.
