CA Final - Plz. plz. plz. help

i took law final classes, but still find that my preparation in law is not at all good.

Attending deepak gajrani's law classes for ca final has resulted in big disappointment for me.

while attending the classes, i didn't come to know as to whether the coverage was sufficient or not from examination point of view.

After the classes are over, and i've picked up the scanner, i am disappointed to find that most of the past questions asked in ca exams are not covered from his notes. and some topics which are in his notes, were not covered in the classes.

for example, banking law is in 4 pages. in new course 3 questions have been asked in past exams. none of these questions are covered in his assignment. for insurance act and irda, he didn't give any printed page, but made us note 1 page - just 1 page. is that the level of ca or deepak gajrani??? for banking, insurance act and irda, less than 1 hour was devoted.

scra is in 39 pages (4.1 to 4.39 - a lot) but, coverage was of about 14 pages - just 1 and a half classes - no good explanations but only reading.

on sebi regulations, he spent 8 lectures. despite that some exam questions are not covered from his material. spending 8 good lectures on sebi for just 6 marks and still cramming a lot - it is really difficult.

friends, before joining his classes, please do refer to scanner.

FRIENDS, PLZ. SUGGEST HOW SHOULD I DO BANKING, INSURANCE, IRDA AND OTHER ALLIED LAWS. PLZ. PLZ. PLZ. IT IS A REQUEST.

Hi Chitra,

I feel you can refer the Munish Bhandari's sir book.as he is the best teacher for law.

Hi Chitra,

Rightly said. I am too a sufferer as I jointed Deepak Gajrani’s January, 2010 Batch. I failed in law paper in May, 2010 exams inspite of scoring an aggregate of 204 marks.

The coverage of his notes is not at all sufficient even to pass the exams. I agree to your point that his coverage in Allied Laws is bare minimum. 1 page for Insurance Act and IRDA and 4 pages for Banking Regulation Act is too less for writing exams.

Also, he does not even touch many chapters in co. law like Accounts of the Co., Audit of Accounts, Investigations, Miscellaneous Provisions and Govt. Companies.

Teaching producer companies in the class was a mere formality. He taught a little bit of dividend, without even touching the dividend rules, which are most important for exams. May, 2010 qn. On dividend was from dividend rules, not covered by him

Also, the language of the Notes of Mr. Deepak is very typical. During the class, we managed to study this language since the material was before our eyes. But, it is really time consuming and difficult to study this language.

Now, I have strarted studying from Munish Bhandari Sir’s Book. It is very simplified and covers the entire syllabus.

So, it was a sheer wastage of time and money attending Deepak Sir’s classes.

I’m just sharing my experience. If somebody else has some different view, plz. share.

hi, chitra

For CA final Dont depend on Class Notes for any subject. Especially Law.

For Law, As our Friends suggested, You can rely on Munish Bhandari Book. There are two Types of books, one is detailed and another is summarised one  which is very much useful for revision.

you can take the summarised one along with the ICAI   Compilation. It will help you very much.

If you want detail subject u can take Detail one, in that you will get past examination questions also. no need for compilation. now its you choice to decide. All the Best.

Hi Chitra

You should refer Munish Bhandari Notes book , dont go for his Text book. But u have enough time than go for Text book.

You can easily score 60+ by thoroughly going thtough the Notes.( At least 3 times Revision required)

* Content of notes is very comprehensive .

* Language is very simple and uderstandable.

* Provision of law is described/defined in a very simple language point wise, will help you  to learn and remember the matter so fast

If you refer this Notes than u dont need to refer Law compilation separately as it(notes) has separate section at the end of every chapter for Compilation , where last 10 years questions papers are compiled with answer.

So just go blinded for it.

I feel you can refer the Munish Bhandari's sir book.as he is the best teacher for law.

Dear Chitra Sharma,

You can also go for Jayaraman Sirs notes. It was very usefule for me. But individual preferences differ. So you study from the book which suits u the best

Hello Chitra,

Manish Bhandari 's detailed book is an excellent book to study LAW  for CA Final EXAMS.

Besides the book, develop the habbit of reading Bare Act  of Company Law.

Learn to break the Section into many meaningful parts and then interpreting it. If you learn this technique  you need not go through the Explanations given in the book.

By doing this you will be able to grasp the Section very easily . and answer the practical questions without any difficulty.

I  have prepared company law notes like this only and i had done intensive study for the Company Law portion.

If you are from Delhi and want to have a look at them  please mail to my Email id    singhkapilkumar @ yahoo.co.in.

Take Care
