ICAI has set up a commitee to look into this matter..pls wait for official confirmation

The Institute is considering of conducting the future ICAI exams in June and December every year.

However all these are still under consideration and nothing has been finalised yet.

I will suggest you to wait for any official confirmation from the Institute in this regard.

The exams are being conducted in the month of June only bcoz of the elections. Otherwise, it would have been in the month of May only. Also the institute is facing some difficulties with conducting the november exams as the premises they hire for the exams seems to run into problem of space constraints and such other things. But I think they will not conduct the exams in December bcoz their exam dates (now its a gap of one day in between the exams and thus the excams run into an 16 day affair) will clash with the exam dates of semester exams for the college students and the half-yearly exams of the schools. so it willbe in May and November only. So don't worry, exam for this november attempt will e in november 09 only

I think Harish is right. Institute may complete the valuation process by July middle and declare the results as usual so as to accommodate the Nov'09 schedule as per the existing norms. This is my guessing. Any how, we may wait for official confirmation.

exams will be conducted in november itself

this year due to election it had been postponed

and guys i will inform u all before a month of official decleration of icai that what the exams date are [ i knw someone who is a principal of icai exam center and they get the semi annual programme 5 mnths before the exams i.e 2 months before the official decleration]

Institute has set up a committee to look into the matter whether to continue May/Nov format only or permanently change it to June/Dec and before making a final decision the committee will expect a trial atleast during both months.

Due to elections they got a chance to try  conducting exams in June and now they will most probably go and complete the trial of conducting exams in December.

Finally, they will evalute in January 2010 whether to continue with May/Nov or change it to June/Dec based on experience of conducting exams in June/Dec this year.

My take is that exams will definately be in December this year just so that the committee can have an objective view.

The exams in june09 was only due to only elections. As last election in 2004 , the exams were in june 2004. and next attemt was in november2004.

there is no new rules made by the institute
