Dear Yamini,
I understand what you're worried about. CA Final exams are that cusp, that edge of the mountain ledge when all your dreams could either come true or not. It's really a stressful experience.
Upon receiving feedback from several of our friends in the CA student fraternity and support from our professors, the Board of Studies, ICAI brought out this concept of MCQs in the theoretical papers. There's still a long way to go in order to improve our education facilities and exam system but this small step helps ease some burden off our backs.
As you know the MCQs have no negative marking and encourage you to analyze the concepts properly in addition to rote-learning, Practise a whole bunch of these MCQs and go through the RTPs issued by ICAI and write the answers down. That helps a lot.
Coming to your question, nobody can really say anything exact about the pass percentages. All of it is just analysis and probability.
But my dear friend, focus on learning the major concepts and practise well and the remaining will definitely take care of itself. All the best for your exams!!
As per the trend analysis it was noted that the pass percentage of CA Final New showed an upward trend whereas the pass percentage of CA Final Old witnessed a downward trend. Thus we can't really say or analyse how the introduction of MCQs has affected the results. However, there is no negative marking on not being able to answer the questions right, thus there is nothing to worry about. The institute has introduced the objective type questions with the objective to shift the focus on conceptual learning.
