From my analysis of recent CA Final exams, I am giving you some useful tips for exams as below:-
1) For DIRECT TAXES & INDIRECT TAXES:- Supplementary study paper is very important along with CASE laws. Always prepare well from that. Also, amendments relevant for exams will be mentioned here. More weightage is given for:-
May Exams:- On latest amendments.
November exams:- Questions are generally framed on CASE LAWs issued by the Institute for that particular exam. Also, here they generally test your conceptual understanding of the provisions. While in May exams, they test your knowledge of NEW AMENDMENTS.
2) ADVANCED MGMT ACCOUNTING:- Just RTPs are not enough. Understand the concept and work out suggested answers to understand concept better. Sometimes, questions are directly picked from suggested answers and study module. Try to search for new variety of problems on the topic since ICAI has started giving new variety of questions, but if you can attempt any question keeping in mind the concept behind it, you will be successful, though you have not answered everthing correctly.
3) ISCA :- Always remember the POINT HEADING. Point heading should be the SAME as study material. There is no scope of presenting your understanding in this subject. It should be as mentioned in study module of the institute. Also, questions are framed as 8 points in study module- given for 8 marks. 4 points in module for 4 marks. So, you have to remember points to score marks.
