please if anyone could tell me ,that in dirct taxes, are only recent case laws important for the exam or past years case laws also? what should be the strategy for its preparation? i also require the budget updates, where can i get it from?

In my opinion for the preparation of case law portion u can refer to previousfew months Students Newsletter or Journal.Few recent case laws r also available at instt site under STUDENT------NEW SYLLABUS-----FINAL-------Select Case Laws

Hey Rolly, I qualified in May 2006 and trust me before going to exams please go through all the new case laws decided in the last one year ...... it is a trebd taht atleast one question will come out of these case laws .........for case laws please aks any of your friend to provide you the latest book of Vinod Gupta Sir , if you are based in delhi you will easily get the same case laws wilol be in his 15th module.......All the best for you exams

Recent case laws is the most imp as institute always says in a news letter as to the same and for my may 2008 exam the questions set only from there
