18 February 2011I just wanted to know, I cleared my IPCC (nov 10 exam). I wanted to know by when should I start my articelship to be eligible for the final exam ASAP?
So generally, 1) what is the articleship period?
2) What is the soonest date that i can take the final?
3)what is the cutoff date for 2) above.

u have cleared IPCC so u r eligible to start ur articles anytime 4m nw...do it at the earliest and ur final attempt depends on it...that is u r eligible to give ur final attempt in last 6 months of ur articleship..all d very best

that is fine, but is there any cutoff date for the CA final attempt for nov 2013? I think i am eligible for CA final in nov 2013. I wanted to delay it because of bcom.

BCOM is not a big issue...u can prepare it in a week or so..just dont delay becoz of it..still its ur call.

i know its not a big issue, but the problem is i need to pass it with a good grades. i want to apply for an MBA eventually and i may not be even eligible to take the CAT if i get less marks. so i want to make sure i get good marks in bcom so that i can atleast try my hands on the CAT.

First of all congrats for the results.!!
The cut off date for CA Final date depends upon ur registration for articleship as the term for CA Final attempt says "You can write ur CA Final while pursuing ur final 6 months of articleship, thus as soon as u start ur articleship, u can give ur Final attempt." To give the Final attempt in Nov'13, u have to get registered for Article on or before 30th April'11..
