I cleared CA Final last nov exams...and i am due to give my CS final in June 2011
I have a job offer in the Risk Analysis dept of one of the big4s... I wanna know how will the CS degree fit in for this job profile...

Though I am no expert i the area of risk management, still i will try to answer you. A CS degree would be helpful to you in identifying ares of non compliances and the fallouts thereof monetory or otherwise. Non-compliances should not be confined to mean Company law compliances. Rather, it is the entire gamut of legislations are required to be followed but which may not have been complied. For example non-fulfilment of Export obligation by the holder of an Advance Auhorisation/EPCG etc is certainly going to lead to the recovery of exempted duties by the Govenrment with Interest @ 15 from date of exemption(i.e. imports). Besides, the legal risks there could be commercial risks arising on account of non-fulfillment of Contractual terms of a Purchase/Sales Order. These are illustrations only.
