Dear All,

I am 40 yrs of age, male working for a pvt.ltd. co. for last 15 yrs in accounts taxation and managment field. My qualification is b'com graduate.

I want to know can I do CA along with my job. Also may please advice on how to do articleship of three years how can I do this?

Please help

Articleship of 3years is to be done after passing IPCC 1st group as per existing rules. However, there is a proposal that is sent to government for its approval, to exempt graduation completed students from appearing CPT i.e. entrance level test to enter CA Course. This proposal is expected to be approved in December. So you may wait for few months and register in IPCC and can start articleship of 3years. For this, you have to resign your current job. Please note that exemption for graduation student is given only if one scores 55% (commerce graduates) and 60% (other graduates). As you are already working in tax and accounts field, you wont find the course much difficult when compared to others. During articleship no job is allowed.
