C form query(maharashtra vat)

I'm a dealer registered in Maharashtra. I wish to make purchases with a party in Gujarat in October. Should I enter into the transaction and then obtain C Form or should C Form be obtained before?

first u will purchase then u r required to aplly for c form. and after obtaining c form from dept. give to ur supplier.
