Seeing the recent spate of ICAI bad governance, do you people think that we students now really need a union. !!!!
Not a union,
- like DUSU or JNU-SU where party presidents are selected but leaves the streets they once found roaming during election time with hobnobs and gets into slumber as soon as they wins....
- which can go outside the president's office with a bunch of hooligans and stop their functioning with their illegitimate demands.......
- which is a voice of only 100's but ruling a lakh of the electorate.....
- which do not represent the students but their suppourts and sponsers....
But, a union;
- which can open helplines for the students during exam times.........
- Which can arrange counselling sessions for the students who fails so that they can't take such drastic a step as suicide,.
- Which can be the voice of the students to the institute and represent the student community at the decision making point.
- Which can question the institute when it increases the fees for no good reasons.
- which can actually give guidance to the students when new rules hve been brought.(when insti brought conversion scheme (old 2 new course), half of the students were unaware about the same, nor much help were gathered from insti)....
- which can actually answer the query of the student when the instit's helpline really slacks.!!!
- which can question the institute when it takes such drastic a step as restricting transfers without procuring comments from student community.......
- which can take part in the student-effecting other decisions.....
- which can ask and learn from the student what actually the problems they r facing while doing articleship so that those can be solved at higher level.....
- AND which can actually question the institute, why such low %age of result [(7.5% -ca final nov09 and 1.26 % PE-II nov09) declaring thereby 93 % of students don't deserve to be C.A.] is given when in the past a respectable %age is maintained...!!!!!! (????????????)
IN SHORT I M NOT TALKING ABOUT A REGULAR POLITICAL UNION AS PRESENT IN EDUCATION INSTUTIONS THESE DAYS,
BUT A UNION WHICH CAN ACTUALLY ASK ON BEHALF OF STUDENT WHY SOME WRONG DECISIONS WERE TAKEN BY THE INSTITUTE..!!!!!!
IT HIGH TIME THAT IN THIS DEMOCRATIC COUNTRY, WE NEED A DEMOCRATIC UNION AT LEAST AT OUR INSTITUTE........
