I'm about to appear for second group of C.A Final in May 2013.
There's a lot of confusion these days about the book to refer for Direct Taxes...
Half the people say T.N Manoharan... Other half Vinod Gupta...
Which one is BEST for exams?????

Vinod gupta no doubt ... If you can handle that much volume,
Vinod Gupta is best for self study...
T N Manoharan is for them who wants simple language. But it is very lengthy. So if u can revise rapidly then only prefer TNM. Otherwise prefer Vinod Gupta. All d best

MANOHARAN SIR'S BOOK IS SUFFICIENT FOR EXAMS
VINOD GUPTA is better than all other bks coz all d provision has explained in simple terms with example which is d best way to study.
Singhania - Normally for practioners not for students
