in new budget there is rebate of rs.2000/- for assesse having income slab from 2 lacs to 5 lacs,
this rebate is after education cess or before education cess.??

Rebate u/s 87A is applicable from FY 2013-14 for taxable income between 200,000/- to 500,000/-
Rebate of Rs. 2,000/- is on income tax payable excluding education cess. So rebate shall be before education cess.
Rebate not available for NRI.
