let 4min train = A
let 5 min train = B
Train A crosses a pole in 4 min
Train B in 5 mins which means this train is 60 secs late and i.e. it is late by 15 secs for every on min of train A
(60 secs /4min = 15 secs per min of A)
when they come HEAD TO HEAD
FACTOR = Train A will be 0.8 times faster to Train B [i.e 60 secs / 75 secs = 0.8 times]
Divide this factor to any time value of A & Multiply this factor to time value of B to get your answer
In above question - To Reach the POLE HEAD TO HEAD = A will take 5 mins to reach train B
{ WORKING ANS = 5 mins given by (4mins of A) DIVIDED BY (0.8 factor) }

Let distance be x for both. Then speeds are x/4 and x/5 respectively. Distance that needs to be covered is 2x. Speed is (x/4 plus x/5). Solving, 2x/(x/4 + x/5), we get 4.44 minutes.
