Break from articleship - a unique case

Articleship 753 views 2 replies

I am a PCC student who has completed 2 yrs of articleship(including the max eligible leave). I am not being able to clear the exams since past 5 attempts(i had converted to PCC from PE2) due to various reasons. Now, i am of the opinion that i need to clear the exam first, as continuing the articleship period is futile, if i dont clear PCC. I want to take a kind of break from articleship till i clear my PCC exams and continue after clearing the exams. I want to know the options available to me, in case my principal does not agree to mutually give me the break from articleship. Can i discontinue/transfer/go on secondment? Please help.

U CAN take termination from that principal and then rejoin with form 103 after u clear pcc.

But ICAI has imposed restriction on transfer, in that case u should opt for taking termination on medical grounds on discontinuance of training for at least 3 months due to any medical reasons, but it needs a medical certificate from a govt. hospital which u have to arrange anyhow.

ALL THE BEST!

Since u have completed 2 yrs of articleship, I suggest better to continue articleship..After completing articleship u can focus more on your studies. Then if u clear pcc then u can write the final exam immediately. Otherwise u have to wait again one more year and you will exceed the permissable leave limit
