that gives a remainder of 1

when it is divided by 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8.

What is that number?

Ans is 841.

 

Lowest Common Multiple of 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 = 840

Add 1 to it. It becomes = 841
