Both groups

Hey all of you,,,,,,,GET THE FACTS RIGHT.

If a person gives group wise - ie. 1st group in may and 2nd grp in nov and pays exam fees only for 1st group in may and 2nd grp in nov -------------------even then ITS COUNTED AS 2 ATTEMPTS ONLY.

Reason being though student paid exam fees of 1 grp and studied for 1 grp, it was only because the student has presumed that if he gives both group in the first officially exam season he is eligible for, he would fail.

Also ICAI when it conducts campus interview, it invites those CA's who have cleared in last 2 attempts(eg if campus interview is in April 2011, students passed out in May 2010 and Nov 2010 would be considered) , irrespective of the fact that the student who cleared in May/Nov, were giving that attempt groupwise /both groups for 1st/2nd/3rd ..... upteenth number of time.

Those who are going to practice - for them it hardly matters as to when you clear - in 1st/2nd //or any attempt.

again i repeat , if a person applies for both groups and passes in one -- then its his 1st attempt and subsequent one is 2nd attempt --- this i know all will agree.

But if one gives fees and studies and writes exam for 1st group alone and luckily passes, even then its his 1st attempt and when he gives 2nd group for the first time in his life -- that would be his 2nd attempt. Though student can boast in freind circle that i cleared both groups in 1st attempt when attempted, but ICAI and experienced CA's cannot be fooled.

Dont be shy to accept the number of attempts you gave and dont lie if you gave group wise and passed.

No one will insult you if you pass late...knowledge alone matters. Reputation will get affected if you tell such cheap lies.

Completely  agree  with Narayan. S...it would be considered as two attempts....IPCC is a one Level to pass out. if  one pass in first group in first attempt and give second group in next attempt and pass, it will be considered as he has passed IPCC level in two attempt...LEVEL MATTERS NOT THAT GIVING ONE OR BOTH GROUPS.....

The one who has passed BOTH GROUPS in the FIRST ATTEMPT will only be considered as passed in first attempt. In rest of the cases, even though you pay for a single group and pass it out in the very first attempt, it will be considered as passed in two attempts.

for eg if ur attempt is held in november & u applied for both the group and semultaneously u cleared both the group then it will consider 1 attempt. on the other hand if u opt for 1 group in november & 2nd group in may & u clear groups simultaneously it will consider 2 attempt
