Hello friends... I have some confusion regaring disclosure of borrowings under short and long term.. let us understand with an example.... suppose i have taken a car loan of 10 lakh for ten year.. then it is for more than one year and to be taken in long term borrowings... we have to pay first instalment of Rs. 1 lakh in 6 months from now.... my doubt is while finalising the balance sheet whether whole of the loani.e. 10 lakhs should be taken in long term or whether the amount of instalment which is to be paid within one year i.e. one lakh is to be shown under short term borrowings and remaining rs. nine lakhs in long term borrowings....
