Is it necessary to take tuition to pass CA final GR-I in May'2011 ? If there are sufficient books for CA final Gr-I ( New syllabus), please suggest completely so that it would serve the purpose and no tuitions required.

Please help me , because i am very confused what to do? Shall i leave job to take tution ? Because  in any case i have to pass CA final GR-I ( new syllabus) in May'2011

For CA Final AS preparation---Dolphi Desouza is good.

For Audit: Prakhar Sharma/Paduka/ V.K Agrawal
Note: (MP Vijay Kumar can be used for AS reference)
For Corp Law: Munish Bhandari
For Mafa: Module and Notes of Tarun Mahajan. You may also refer A.N Sridhar.
For Direct Taxes: TN Manoharan (Theory part), Circular, Notification, Amendments, case laws. Also refer Vinod Gupta Modules.
For IDT: Vandana Bangur
For MICS: Module and Dinesh Madan
For Costing: Saxena and vashist or Ravi M Kishore with module

Also refer Scanners and Suggested Answer issued by ICAI for previous year exams and revised them properly.

For some good notes explore CAClubindia forum and share file section. You may also use search facility of club.

Best Regards

i think if u r able to do accounts & cost at ur own then no requirement .

as i think, in both the other theories , ultimately we only have to read & understand.

& there are good books for that.

but still i suggest if possible , u just take tutions of practicles , it will help you in many ways...

Dear mehta,

My  query was that  is it possible to pass Ca final GR-I in new syllabus without tuition. Do you have any such example he/she passed Ca final GR-I without exam.

Since i am in job so unless it is highly required that without  Coaching it is really very difficult to pass Ca final then i would do coaching  otherwise if  it can be done with self study  i would go for self study.

I want a definite answer  whether without tution it is  very difficult to pass Ca final ?Swarup datta

All The Best................

my frnd,

i think your decision is not based on some other experience or history,

you may create history or you may be the exceptional one of general thing.

but for your satisfaction, yes, i have currently two senior frnds who have passed without classes but if they require they ask guidence from other CA( CA teachers).

& about books, i am also not fully knowledgble ya but you can go for books & notes of some good classes like J.K.Shah & Professtional Acedemy & alll.

Hi Swaroop

The decision is entirely yours. If you have time at your disposal, and you are reasonably aware of the basics, self study is adequate. If you are short of time, or you are not exposed to self study at early stages of your education, classroom education would be recommended. What takes approximately 2 hour to read and understand may be taught in around 30 minutes of oral communication. Thats the general equation.

Do a quick math, and find how much time you need. My idea would be around 200 to 250 hours for Accounts and MAFA each. Another 150 odd for Auditing and Law.
