S.D Bala, and V Pattaviram, from Snow white, is a very good book for conceptual clarity in the subject. But , A.N Sridhar is the ultimate book for CA Final Preparation, since it has greater number of numeric problems.
Do not get me wrong, but considering this years MAFA question, i beliv even the Study Mat is also very important.

A N Sridhar is much ahead of Pattabhiraman & Bala.
Actually A N Sridhar explains concepts in a nice way. it also contain large number of probloms.
Pattabhis book is very cluttered and their is no logical order. it also does not cover the syllabus fully.
Also Santhi Ganapathy madam's Notes on SFM for Classroom discussion is an outstanding material...conceptual clarity it provide is tremendous.

Dear Remya,
If you are looking to crack CA exam, I would strongly suggest you to go for Makkar Sir's notes...& nothing else!!!
