I agree that students should be informed for the changes. But whatever changes are there in the economy and consequently in the accounting profession; is well informed by the institute in its journal.

Not only reading and information is required; but an analytical study is required.

Just imagine; why "Special Excise Audit" has been "awarded" to the members recently.

Very few members have empanelled for it because of not knowing the "excise audit norms."

My view is that; whenever any development is there, the Institute publish "exposure draft." Very few members read it and hence there is very few  comments thereon.

What should be expected from the members ?

And, accordingly what is expected from the "future members" - i. e. "presently CA students ?"

CA profession is for those who are the most brilliant in the line of the CA profession. It is not a matter of just qualification.(It does not mean that other streams' students are not brilliant; but many time such students find difficult to pass CA).

AND THAT IS WHY IT IS A UNIQUE PROFESSION !

@ Surendra Sir and Vivek sir.....

i agree.. .that v must prepare for the worst situation.... bt the time period give was altogether too less.... for the change in exm pattern...... it was all of the sudden v came 2 knw that no options and only practicle questions.... many of v students got mad by listing this iteslf.... evn our reference buks n all were not made accodingly.... evn there was no clear notification abt a/cs, costing and MAFA papers whether theroy will b asked or not.... so all these made students evn more tensed b4 exms....

Dear Megha,

I understand your problem. The problem was not faced by you only.

Read my comments given in the forum hereinabove and analyse them for your next preparations. I hope these will work for all.

I know the pain of the students but; unfortunately I have seen so many overconfident students at the time of joining CA and by the time passes; confidence goes....

The reasons of low-confidence are never discussed in length. Slowly students take this as a "pattern of CA profession" which they previously heard from many persons before joining CA but not realized as applicable for themselves.

In my opinion; it was good enough that institute informed before the examination.

YOU MUST BE PREPARED FOR ANY SITUATION THEN ONLY YOU WOULD GET SUCCESS IN CA EXAMINATION IN FIRST ATTEMPT !

Otherwise you have to adopt trial and error method. By chance you will pass !

What could you do when the institute put the question papers without informing you ?

Could you go to the Court ?

Good Megha, that I expected from the students like you.

While practising CA many times we also find that a client discusses a matter with us for 2 hours in details and ultimately switches the job to other CA.

In that case; what should we think ?  Whether we failed despite receiving all the positive attitude from the client during the discussion?

Next time; what should we do?

Definitely we have to change our strategy.

In next time; while discussing with other clients; we have to take care of many aspects. Some key areas are not discussed and mere assurance is given to the client -

"Don't worry. Send all the papers. I will see."

The above sentence looks small; but it is working.

Now tell me; what works - only "Hard work" or "Smart Work" !

In CA examination also;  students tend to cover whole syllabus but leave the typical part which requires expertise.

And this becomes the reason of failure many a time !

Much more is there to say and to apply.

Only one thing I want to say :

DEVELOP YOUR VISION IN SUCH A WAY THAT PEOPLE SAY :

W-O-W !

Dear megha,

The points given above by Mr Rakhecha is very nice...

I  do suggest the following tips for you

Step no 1

Change your strategy for the coming exam

step no 2

Be mentaly prepared for any surprise that is set during the exam..

step no 3

expect the exam will be worster than the coming attempt of may 2010 and set an action plan to crack the  tougest situation

Failure will surely delimit the ability but do understand that failure is the successful step for your good result...

Did you know there was one student whose name i dont remember  now...she is from surat i think...Rakecha will know the same in details

Scored rank in her PE 2 or inter...but she was still not cleared her CA final exam...What was made worng ....

There was many students were failing PCC level and clear the final in first attempt also...why? those who failed will learn a good lesson and making a good and productive improvement in that stage...that correction will help them to clear the final without difficult....

I remeber a scene of Munna bhai MBBs...were Dean of the colleage were set a tough paper  for failing Sanjay Dut..There was clare intention at the time of setting the question...Like wise there may be tough question and valuation too for CA exam..Expect for worst know and change the strategy for facing the worst...Sure you can hit the exam ...With full confidence...

Dear All
In one of my forum thread, mr manoj more had written that there was manipulation in the result system and ICAI give some preference on a particular Religion...
Did you believe was there any maipulation in result system?
Did ICAI pushing a particular cast?

According to me it is base less statement by mr. Manoj , if he have smoe evidance then he should be disclose.

please provide particular Religion wise data.     i think only one Religion of ICAI  field that is  WORK HARD & KNOWLAGE.

According to CA Ravi (not me); options were removed in the question papers so I think there was no option before the Institute also to allot less marks !
Practically when clients come to an office of CA, CA has only option to solve the problem.
Client does not come to offer options to a CA.

I Agree sir  but it is true that  before few days of Exms ,declaration by ICAI regarding to no option in papers  should effects the Result.
