I am asking whether the calculation of our institute for % of pass for a single group is correct.......
Otherwise they have to analyse as
1 % of pass for Both
2. % of pass for First group opted from Both group
3. % of pass for Second group opted from Both group
4.% of pass for First group opted from single group
5.% of pass for Second group opted from single group

Please apply the following formule and let me to know whether there is any changed in  the result .....

No of students  passed/no of student appeared *100....

Please apply the formulae and waiting your reply

Results are not about pass or fail..

Its all about the courage to carry on life in a humble way with all smiles forever.

The above analysis is a nice job done by you.. :)

All failures need not worry.. Cheer up and brighten your life with smiles..

Say  """ ALL IS WELL """  :) :)

I Agree with You that Results are not about pass or fail.. But why the hell they have decresed the passing %. And talking about the No. of students who appeared In Nov 09, if Institue will not pass students this no. is going to increase with the time.

Its easy to say that  "Its all about the courage to carry on life in a humble way with all smiles forever." but difficult to follow when you are getting anything in return for your the Pains & Hardwork Done.

i know it will not work becoz institute has there own thought & polilices, even though we will

I think the disucssion point is important rather than data available and its source.

Statistics is used for analysis and on that basis; line of action is required in future for betterment.

We see the results of CA as dissatisfactory- all the time but, unfortunately students don't analyse the reasons thereof.

For example; if I  TRULY say that I can sing a song upto "Upper Pa" (students of music can understand what I mean to say -Answer to this in one Word is -Admirable) ! - Here Pa means Hindi Pa and not the Amitabh's Pa) but my songs' quality of voice, sweetness, impressiveness, variations and .. capacity of singing of different types of songs etc.etc.. is not comparable with the singer "Shaan" then how can I claim that my songs are also "Shaandar !"

The point is - may be - students think that they have done their best; but it is not upto the mark according to the Institute's Criteria.

Tell me; why a student is passed in CA after four or five attempts ?  The reason is that after a lot of practice; now he is expert because of several revisions (5 to 10 times) of whole of the syllabus.

(In the last attempts; he is in a better position to revise the syllabus more times in  shorter periods).

Ask all the students who are likely to appear in the examination - Are you sure about the quality of your studies ? I strongly say - The answer you will find that - Let's see the result.  Very few students are confident to say - Why not ?

I STRONGLY APPEAL TO THE STUDENTS THAT BEFORE GOING TO THE EXAMINATION HALL; REVISE YOUR STUDIES AT LEAST FOR FIVE TIMES TO AVOID YOUR FIVE ATTEMPTS !

Many times students just appear in the examination because attempt is due; specially in case of first attempt. The moment the result is failure; confidence starts breaking.

Here I wish to give one example of 30 years back. One Gaurishankar Soni of Bikaner scored all India first rank in CA Inter. And in CA Final ? He could not pass CA Final !  CAN YOU IMAGINE ??

( Now I ask the students - Tumhara number kahan lagta hai, jara bolo....)

Can anyone tell the reason of the failure of "Gauri - Shankar" ?

Guess....through this forum.........

(Answer is not packed in the hands of the examiner; it is in the hands of examinee).

I heartly appeal to the students to refer my articles appearing in caclubindia :

ONE SHOT SUCCESS IN CA (28 12 2009)

and

SECOND SHOT SUCCESS IN CA (11 01 2009)

I have written these articles on the basis of my experience.

I honestly accept that during our articleship period also; many students were misguided many a times. They committed a bundle of mistakes many a time but, the mistakes were of students and not of the Institute.

The vision of the Institute is very very sound;  I heartly say to all.  Before 30 years; the institute added one subject : SADP (System Analysis and Data Processing ). What would you say ?

In Surat, one CA focused on this particular area and developed accounting software. Within one year (1995) he earned Rs.1.50 crore !

Tell me; on what basis ? From where he brought the VISION ?

Students unnecessarily blame the institute without knowing the desired level of quality.

HOPE A CORRECT APPROACH FROM THE STUDENTS NOT FOR THEIR OWN BENEFIT ONLY BUT FOR CA PROFESSION AS A WHOLE !

ASK ANY QUALIFIED MEMBER WHETHER HE BLAMES THE INSTITUTE ?
